This web service enables your bot to convert any RSS feed to JSON format and use it easily in scenario.
Thus your bot can read news feed from any website to the user.

To parse any RSS feed please use an HTTP Request block with the URL like this

https://tools.aimylogic.com/api/rss2json?url=FEED_URL

Just replace FEEDURL_ parameter with actual URL of an RSS feed you'd like to parse. For example, you can parse BBS News feed

https://tools.aimylogic.com/api/rss2json?url=http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml

Note that you can use Atom feeds as well

The service will return a JSON array with objects containing a set of fields

[
{
"title": "Civil partnerships: Law to be changed for mixed-sex couples",
"link": "https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45714032",
"description": "Men and women will be able to choose a civil partnership"
},
{
"title": "First woman Physics Nobel winner in 55 years",
"link": "https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-45655151",
"description": "The 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics is awarded to a woman"
}
]

All HTML tags will be cut off from the response.

Max parameter

Sometimes you need to reduce the count of symbols in the response. For example, some voice assistants have limits of the texts they can read.

To limit the output text length just set a max parameter in request

https://tools.aimylogic.com/api/rss2json?max=100&url=http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml

Aimylogic will cut off the sentences so the user will receive a readable result
